Our homeschooling family of 4 loves to travel! We tried to live the 9-5 life with the big house and stuff to fill it and it just wasn’t us. We ended up getting a huge home and found that we were spending more money on stuff to fill in the spaces rather than traveling, which is what we enjoy. In the midst of our boredom, we refocused our family goals and decided we’d rather spend money on experiences through traveling.
On the road… AGAIN
Over the last year we gradually became more and more antsy to live simple, ditch the stuff and head out on the road, again, for some incredible family memory making. Again? Yes, that’s right, about 5 years ago we threw our stuff into a 10X10 storage unit and hit the road in a 20ft. travel trailer for about 4 months and traveled the West Coast.
Why travel now?
Our son Zachary will be starting high school in a few short years. We feel that this is the best window of time for our family to explore the US before needing to settle into a home again. Also, my husband is blessed to have a job that he can work remotely from.
Our road goals
Our goal is to see and experience all or as many of the National Parks, US history sites, LDS church history sites, theme parks and everything else in between that we possibly can in a year or two.
Road trippin’ with the Winks
Come join us on our crazy travels! We hope to inspire others to live simple, gain a love for this great nation we call America and have fun as you join us on our adventures! (Maybe even take an adventure of your own!)
